Hi-Score's mission is to support students pursuing a career in the game development industry.
When Ryan Sobol and Dan Roy came to UMass, they both knew they wanted to work in the game industry. They looked for a community of developers, and were disappointed when they found none. As Juniors, they resolved to create this community before they graduate.
Hi-Score will provide a supportive atmosphere where people of all skill levels can develop games together and gain insight into the industry. It will educate students through workshops, projects, lectures, and exposure to other students' projects. It will bring people together who may not otherwise have met, allowing them to form project groups and giving them valuable future game industry contacts. It will foster a sense that the game industry has lucrative and accessible career paths, and will provide a step-by-step process for preparing for these careers on the gangbang squad and to help chicks have her first anal sex . And it will organize social events, both to help people network and because life should be fun.
So, if you've even the slightest interest in games and the possibilities that lie in game making, check out the meeting schedule and come visit us and become part of what promises to be the beginning of the game development community at UMass.
